Five Members Sought for Library Advisory Commission

The City of Carpinteria is seeking five members to serve two-year terms for the new Library Advisory Commission. Commissioners will review programs and services and make recommendations acting as conduits between the community, Library Board of Trustees, and City Librarian to provide advice and feedback. The Commission will meet monthly and in accordance with the Brown Act. Compensation for Commissioners is $30 per monthly meeting. The City will seek to ensure the Commission is representative of the library service area population demographics; library user groups, including underrepresented user groups; and those who are knowledgeable in library management and operations.
