The Parks and Facilities Maintenance Program provides for the maintenance of all City parks and facilities. There are twelve City parks that comprise of approximately 98 acres. Maintenance of City parks includes:
- Grounds (open spaces, trails, shore/beach, hardscapes, and landscapes)
- Sport fields and courts
- Playground equipment
- Pest control (Integrated Pest Management Report is here.)
City facilities include:
- City Hall
- Carpinteria Community Garden
- Carpinteria Community Library
- Carpinteria Community Pool
- Veterans Memorial Building
Most repairs to parks and facilities are able to be performed by Maintenance Division staff. Maintenance contracts augment Maintenance Division staff for larger work.
