The Code Compliance Division works to investigate, document and enforce the Carpinteria Municipal Codes the California Building Code, Health and Safety Codes and various state laws on public and private property. The City of Carpinteria has adopted ordinances to create and maintain a healthy, safe and beautiful environment in which to live, work and play.

Hearing Requests
Administrative Citations “Request for Hearing”
An Administraitve Citation may be issued by an Enforcement Officer to resolve certain violations of the Carpinteria Municipal Code. Appeals must be filed within thirty (30) days of the citation with full payment of the fine and a statement explaining the reason behind the appeal. Appeals must be filed using the “Request for Hearing on Administrative Citation (PDF)” form.
