Park System
The Parks division maintains and operate City parks with amenities ranging from children play areas and picnic areas to a rare salt marsh and walking trails.
Carpinteria Skate Park
Now Open!
The Carpinteria Skate Park is a new skating facility on the City Hall campus. It includes approximately 19,500 square feet of skating area, 23 parking spaces, 7,690-square feet of plaza/picnic area, 10,970 square feet of landscaping, and restroom.

Community Garden Park

Carpinteria Community Swimming Pool
The Carpinteria Community Swimming Pool is located on the corner of Palm and Carpinteria Avenues. The pool is open year-round with an average water temperature of 80°. Other on-site amenities include locker rooms, showers, and a Goggle Shop.
Carpinteria Community Tennis Courts
Community Tennis Courts Usage Guidelines
The tennis courts are open to the public free of charge anytime outside of school hours.
Court Availability: The Community Tennis Courts are open to the public during hours when school is not in session.
Court Allocation
– West Court: This court is designated for pickleball and is available on a first-come, first-served basis. No reservation is required. Free play hours are accessible at any time when school is not in session.
– East Court: The East Court is exclusively for tennis. Reservations are required to play on the East Court. Reservations can be made up to 7 days in advance.
Reservation Limitations: Players are allowed a maximum of one reservation per day for the East Court.
Safety Measures: To mitigate the spread of COVID-19, we kindly request that all players maintain physical distancing while using the courts.
Equipment: Players are responsible for bringing their own equipment. Nets are provided.
Coaching Policy: Coaching on the courts is not permitted unless written permission has been obtained from the City of Carpinteria.
Prohibited Items: The use of drugs or alcohol is strictly prohibited on the premises.

Junior Lifeguards
Carpinteria Junior Lifeguards is a summer institution. Junior Guards, ages 9-17, learn many aspects of life guarding as they engage in a variety of aquatic and beach activities.
Dogs on Beaches
CMC 6.04.240 -Dogs prohibited.
It is unlawful for any person to suffer or permit any dog owned, harbored, or controlled by him to be on the public beach between Linden Avenue and Ash Avenue whether leashed or unleashed.
