The City Council meets twice monthly on the second and fourth Monday at 5:30 PM in the City Council Chambers, located at 5775 Carpinteria Avenue. Meetings are broadcast live on local GATV Channel 21 and rebroadcast on the following Wednesday at 8:00 P.M. and Saturday at 5:00 P.M.

General Plan/Coastal Plan Update Committee

The City’s General Plan/Coastal Plan Update Committee meets the third Monday of every month at 5:30 PM in the City Council Chambers, located at 5775 Carpinteria Avenue. Meetings are available on-line and are also rebroadcast on channel 21 after the meeting at 8:00 p.m. and on Saturday at 5:00 .p.m.

Environmental Review Committee

The Environmental Review Committee is a five-member board that reviews initial studies, draft environmental documents and makes recommendations to the Planning Commission and/or City Council regarding the adequacy of environmental documents. Meetings are scheduled on an as-needed basis.

Mobile Home Park Rent Stabilization Board

The Mobile Home Rent Stabilization Board administers the City’s rent stabilization ordinance (CMC 5.69) for the City’s mobile home parks. The Board’s Membership consists of five members. The Board is empowered to approve, set and adjust the rent schedule and maximum rents for the mobile home tenancies within the City (in accordance with CMC 5.69).
