A Tsunami Advisory is in effect on Jan. 15 for Santa Barbara County as a result of the volcanic eruption in the Tonga Islands. The event is expected to produce wave heights of 0.3-1 meter throughout Southern California. No inundation or damage is expected, but strong waves and rip currents are likely today.
