Planning Commission to Review Proposed Rincon Trail Project

The Carpinteria Planning Commission will review the proposed Rincon Trail Project at an in-person meeting on Tuesday, Jan. 18 at 5:30 p.m. at City Hall, 5775 Carpinteria Ave. The Commission will consider the request for a Conditional Use Permit and a Coastal Development Permit to allow the construction of the 850-linear foot segment of the proposed Rincon Trail project located in the City of Carpinteria (the remaining 1,900 feet of the proposed trail is located within the jurisdiction of the County of Santa Barbara); and to certify the Environmental Impact Report (EIR) prepared for the entirety of the project. The EIR is available for review at https://bit.ly/RinconTrailEIR/. The trail would connect the east end of Carpinteria Avenue with Rincon County Park to provide access for cyclists and pedestrians.

Members of the public may view the meeting in person at City Hall, live at https://bit.ly/CityCarpAgendas or on Government Access Television Channel 21. The agenda, available at https://bit.ly/PlanningRincon, includes detailed information on how to participate and how to submit public comment.
