Summer is right around the corner, and that means the City is preparing for another season of its popular Junior Lifeguard Program. Registration opens on May 30 at 6 p.m. through our website at https://carpinteriaca.gov/parks-and-recreation/junior-lifeguards/. The 2023 Junior Lifeguards program will take place June 19 through Aug. 4 at Carpinteria City Beach. Throughout the program, kids ages 7 to 16 will participate in fun activities aimed at building fitness, beach safety, and appreciation of the marine ecosystem. The cost of the seven-week program is $575, and the schedule is Monday through Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. This year, the City will offer a mini-JG program for ages 7-9, the regular JG program for ages 9-16, and a JG Safety Aid program for ages 14-16.
