This weekend, the Carpinteria Community Library will host a second event to help eligible families afford high-quality home internet at a lower cost AND enter to win one of five Chromebooks that will be awarded. Get Connected Carpinteria, an federal Affordable Connectivity Program enrollment event, will be held on Saturday, Oct. 22, from 9 a.m. to noon at the Library, 5141 Carpinteria Ave. Spanish language speakers will be available to help with the process, which should only take about 20 minutes. Please bring the following 1) identification, and 2) proof of eligibility in the form of a monthly WIC, MediCal or CalFresh statement, proof of enrollment in the National School Lunch Program (NSLP) at CEP designated school, or a Pell Grant Award Letter for the current year.
