Southern California Edison has announced a planned power outage beginning on Thursday, Oct. 20 at 8 p.m. and ending on Friday, Oct. 21 at 3:30 a.m. for approximately 111 customers in downtown Carpinteria. The planned outage will allow for pole replacement and upgrade work to be completed overnight. Approximate outage boundaries are Holly Avenue to the north, Linden Avenue to the south, Carpinteria Avenue to the east, Fifth Street to the west. Also, the work will require Ninth Street to be closed between Elm and Holly avenues between 7 p.m. and 4 a.m.
