The Carpinteria Writers Group is free and open to the public. Poets, novelists, bloggers, nonfiction writers, short story writers as well as people working on their memoirs are all welcome. Some members are published, others wish to be, and some write for their own amusement or to pass on their history to family members.
Those who want to read may do so; their time is limited only by the number of other members wishing to read. The group members can then comment on the pieces with supportive and helpful suggestions. If you’re interested, please join us on Tuesdays from 10 a.m. to noon at the Carpinteria Community Library, 5141 Carpinteria Ave.
