State of the City & Town Hall Event: Aug. 31

Are you interested in learning more about issues affecting Carpinteria and taking part in the conversation about the City’s future?

Please join us at the 2026 State of the City & Town Hall Event on Monday, Aug. 31, from 4:45 to 7:30 p.m. at the Veterans Memorial Building, 941 Walnut Avenue.

The event will provide an opportunity for the community to hear directly from City leaders and staff about the City’s budget, current and upcoming local projects, and Measure I, which will appear on the November ballot. Attendees will also have an opportunity to ask questions and share feedback with City representatives.

The event will begin at 4:45 p.m. with an informal tabling session, and continue with formal presentations  at 5:30 p.m. An overview of the City’s budget and a presentation on Measure I will be followed by a community question-and-answer session.

Please submit questions in advance to communityinput@carpinteriaca.gov. Questions that cannot be addressed during the live Q&A will be answered and posted on the City’s website in the days following the event.
