The City of Carpinteria Aquatics team announced that Nico Kalin is the Standout Staff Member for the month of September. Nico has worked for the city for five years in many roles, including pool lifeguard, beach lifeguard and Junior Lifeguard Instructor. When he is not working, Nico enjoys surfing, sleeping and eating burritos. Nico was a Carpinteria Junior Lifeguard, and learned to swim at Carpinteria Community Pool.
