The Carpinteria community is invited to join local law enforcement officers for a casual, friendly event: Coffee with a Cop on Saturday, May 24, from 9 to 11 a.m. at Carp Moon Café, 4991 Carpinteria Ave.
This national initiative brings police officers and community members together -over coffee- to discuss issues, build relationships, and strengthen the connection between law enforcement and the people they serve.
“Community safety isn’t just about responding to calls — it’s about relationships,” said Lieutenant Rich Brittingham. “Events like these are how we build stronger neighborhoods together. It’s a great opportunity for our community to get to know the officers serving their neighborhood in a relaxed, informal setting.”
Residents of all ages are welcome to stop by, ask questions, voice concerns, or simply enjoy a morning coffee with the local team. The event aims to foster transparency and trust, and provide a space for open dialogue.
