On Wednesday, April 22, at 5 p.m. at the Veterans Memorial Hall, 941 Walnut Ave., the Carpinteria Community Library is hosting an exclusive Vandenberg Mission Update. Colonel Horne and a team of experts from Vandenberg Space Force Base will provide a brief presentation on modern space launch operations and the science behind sonic booms. The evening concludes with a moderated Q&A session.
