The Carpinteria Community Library has a new Community Engagement Library Specialist!
The fantastic Terra Furuta is no stranger to our community. She has played a key role in our library as a technician since the transition from County to City operations in 2022.
Beyond the library, Terra has extensive experience mentoring youth in outdoor leadership, environmental stewardship, and STEAM programs, demonstrating a commitment to hands-on community development.
A graduate of the California Institute of the Arts, Terra has a strong foundation in storytelling and creative communication, which she applies to her passions for filmmaking and community outreach.
