Free trainings available to reduce energy use

3C-REN (Tri-County Regional Energy Network) has wide-ranging online classes and trainings available to help residents and businesses reduce energy use. On Aug. 1 from noon to 1 p.m., the organization is offering “Heat Pumps for Homeowners – Products and Selection,” a course taught by Larry Waters of Electrify My Home. On Aug. 15 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., “Passive House Windows” will be led by Steve Mann of the Passive House Network and Home Energy Services. On Aug. 22 from 9 to 10:30 a.m., “Home Electrification Planning – Class 1: Soup to Nuts” will be taught by Josie Gaillard and Tom Cabat, HES energy consultants.
