The City of Carpinteria wants to help you compost! While supplies last, kitchen compost pails will be available free of charge to Carpinteria residents who are customers of EJ Harrison & Sons. Pails can be used for personal composting or for food waste composting by EJ Harrison & Sons (compost must be bagged and placed in the green waste bin). A limit of one pail will be provided to each household, and home addresses will be recorded upon distribution. Residents who are interested in receiving a pail should contact Erin Maker at erinm@carpinteriaca.gov .
