Another Flex Alert has been issued for today Friday, Sept. 2 from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. due to the high temperatures pushing demand on the electrical grid. Consumers are urged to conserve power during the Flex Alert to reduce stress on the grid and help avoid rotating power outages. Additional Flex Alerts are likely to be issued throughout this heat event. The National Weather Service’s Excessive Heat Warning is in effect for Carpinteria through Monday, Sept. 5 at 8 p.m.
