The City Council, Planning Commission and Architectural Review Board will meet on Monday, Dec. 19 at 5:30 p.m. to conceptually review a mixed-use commercial/residential development on a 0.87-acre lot located at 4745 Carpinteria Ave. The proposal would result in the redevelopment of the property currently occupied by Sun Coast Rentals into a new three-story mixed use development with commercial and residential units. Conceptual plans are for a 24-unit 26,400-square-foot two-story apartment complex built atop a ground-level 22,500-square-foot concrete parking podium, and a 6,000-square-foot two-story commercial building fronting Carpinteria Avenue.
The Conceptual Hearing will be held at City Hall, 5775 Carpinteria Ave. Members of the public may attend the meeting at City Hall or view the meeting live at www.carpinteria.ca.us, on Government Access Television Channel 21 or by logging into the Zoom webinar.
