City Honors Retiring Sergeant

Sergeant Freddy Padilla retired last month after a 28-year career with the Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Office, most of which was spent serving the Carpinteria community. Sgt. Padilla’s resume includes experience in numerous areas of law enforcement including patrol, gang team, narcotics detective, criminal investigations, senior deputy and sergeant. He received a commendation by the Carpinteria City Council on April 25, which stated, “Sergeant Padilla provided the citizens of Carpinteria extraordinary professionalism and sensitive law enforcement service while dedicating his life to the pursuit of justice; and … through his knowledge, skills, and experience, Sergeant Padilla made a significant contribution to the safety and wellbeing of the citizens of Carpinteria.” Thank you, Sgt.
