City Council to Meet Sept. 12

The Carpinteria City Council will hold its next regular meeting on Monday, Sept. 12 at 5:30 p.m. In accordance with State guidance, the City will provide both in-person and virtual attendance and participation options for the meeting.

Members of the public may attend the meeting at City Hall, 5775 Carpinteria Ave. or view the meeting live at www.carpinteria.ca.us, on Government Access Television Channel 21 or by logging into the Zoom webinar.

🗓️ Two proclamations: One declaring Sept. 15 to Oct. 15, 2022 as Hispanic Heritage Month, and one proclaiming September 2022 as “Suicide Prevention” Month.

🚴‍♀️ Santa Claus Lane Bikeway Presentation by Kirsten Ayars of Ayars and Associates.

🚧 Authorization for an agreement with Cannon Corporation to provide consulting design services for the 2022 Pavement Rehabilitation Project (includes the whole or segments of Byrnes Lane, Callejon Drive, Cameo Road, Dorrance Way, El Carro Lane, Retorno Drive, Star Pine Road, and Vallecito Road).

☀️ Authorize an amendment to the Agreement with Optony, Inc. to provide management and support related services for solar energy generation and storage projects.

🌻 An Agricultural Lease Agreement with Caltrans for the four acre Property located at 1212 Casitas Pass Road.

🌊 An Ordinance amending Chapter 15.50 (Flood Damage Protection) of Title 15 (Buildings and Construction) in the Carpinteria Municipal Code.

🏘️ Adoption of a resolution initiating legislation to amend the City’s Density Bonus Program, a part of its Local Coastal Program, in response to state Density Bonus legislation.

🏘️ Adoption of a resolution initiating an amendment to Carpinteria Municipal Code, Title 14: Zoning Regulations, concerning the implementation of Coastal Development Permit Procedures.
