Carpinteria City Council meets May 13

The Carpinteria City Council will hold its next regular meeting on Monday, May 13 at 5:30 p.m. Members of the public may attend the meeting at City Hall, 5775 Carpinteria Ave., or view the meeting live at, on Government Access Television Channel 21 or by logging into the Zoom webinar.

🏆 Three Proclamations: 1) Proclaiming May as Asian American & Pacific Islander Heritage Month, 2) Proclaiming May 2024 as Community Action Month and on the Occasion of CommUnify’s 57th Anniversary, and 3) Designating May 19 through 25, 2024, as National Public Works Week.

🧹Rental of Street Sweeping Equipment.

🎺🎺 Approval of the Agreement between the City of Carpinteria and Two Trumpets Communications for Public Outreach Services and Communications Support.

🔑 Authorization to Renew an Agreement for Rental Housing Mediation Program services between the City of Carpinteria and the City of Santa Barbara for the period from July 1, 2024 to June 30, 2027, for a flat fee of $78,813 for the three-year term of this agreement.

🗳️ Receive and file letter of resignation of District 3 Councilmember Roy Lee, who has been elected to the Santa Barbara County Board of Supervisors, and determine the process for filling his City Council vacancy.

📘 Amendment of the Carpinteria Municipal Code to modify the composition of the Carpinteria Community Library Advisory Commission and align reporting requirements with State law.
