High gas prices and a changing climate have a lot of people purchasing or considering electric vehicles. On Wednesday, May 11, an educational community forum will be held in Carpinteria for residents to learn more about electric vehicles and the incentives that are available. The forum will take place from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the Alcazar Theatre, 4916 Carpinteria Ave. Speakers include representatives from Central Coast Community Energy and the Community Environmental Council, as well as Supervisor Das Williams and Carpinteria Mayor Wade Nomura. To learn more, see flyer, call (805) 568-2186 or email supervisorwilliams@countyofsb.org.
