Smash your way into organics recycling with the City of Carpinteria! Instead of trashing your pumpkin after Halloween, come out to the Community Garden for our third annual Pumpkin Smash Event, where you can transform jack o’lanterns into compost and animal feed!

- 9 a.m. to noon
- Community Garden, 4855 5th St.
Please be sure to remove candles and decorations from your pumpkin.
No pumpkins? No problem! The City will have donated pumpkins available. All ages are welcome, and we request that you RSVP by visiting tinyurl.com/3wxazz5c.
Ready-to-use compost will be available to take home. Please bring your own container. If you have any questions, please email sustainability@carpinteriaca.gov.
