A magnitude 3.4 earthquake shook Carpinteria last night (Wednesday) at 10:38 p.m. The quake occurred one mile from Carpinteria, just offshore of Mussel Shoals, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. In the last 10 days, there have been no earthquakes of magnitude 3.0 or greater centered nearby.
