Introducing Ruby Wedbush, our new Community Garden Coordinator!
A recent graduate U.C. Santa Barbara, Ruby earned a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Studies with a focus on agroecology, environmental education, and terrestrial ecology.
Her hands-on experience includes working as a “Worm Wrangler” with the UCSB Department of Public Worms where she managed a student farm that supplied organic produce to the campus food bank and ran a composting program to create a closed-loop food system.
In her free time, Ruby is passionate about surfing and led a project dedicated to recycling wetsuits and surfboards to keep them out of landfills.
