City welcomes new Aquatics Coordinator

The City of Carpinteria’s new Aquatics Coordinator Kalyn Pina comes to us with many years of professional experience in and around a pool! From head lifeguard to swim and water polo coach, Kalyn’s resume demonstrates that she’ll be a fish in water in her new role. While overseeing all of our aquatics programs alongside her co-aquatics coordinator, John Sofer, Kalyn will also continue working toward a bachelor’s degree in business management. She grew up going to the beaches in Carpinteria, and says that her daily commute from Ventura offers her beautiful views and a relaxing drive. Drop by Carpinteria Community Pool to welcome Kalyn to our City!
