City Council to meet April 13

The Carpinteria City Council will hold its next regular meeting on Monday, April 13 at 5:30 p.m. Members of the public may attend the meeting at City Hall, 5775 Carpinteria Ave., or view the meeting live at https://carpinteriaca.gov/, on Government Access Television Channel 21 or by logging into the Zoom webinar.

The following topics are highlights of the agenda. Additional details and numerous ways for the public to provide comments can be found at https://cityofcarp.co/agendas. Comments posted on social media will not be provided to council members.

  • A Proclamation designating the month of April 2026 as “Fair Housing Month”
  • A Proclamation designating the week of April 19-25, 2026 as “National Library Week” in the City of Carpinteria.
  • Certificates of Commendation awarded to Carpinteria Emergency Response Team (CERT) trainees and trainers.
  • Presentation by the County of Santa Barbara Public Health Department on the Carpinteria Health Care Center.
  • Consultant Services Agreement between the City of Carpinteria and Environmental Science Associates (ESA) to oversee and prepare environmental review documents for the residential “Farm Project” at 5885 Carpinteria Avenue, in an amount not to exceed $563,518.
  • Harbor Seal and Tar Pits Park Interpretive Signage.
  • Authorization for the City Manager to execute an agreement with 19six Architects to provide consulting architecture and engineering design services for the Carpinteria Community Pool Improvements Project.
  • Approval of the Road Maintenance and Rehabilitation Account Fiscal Year 2026/27 Project List.
  • Land transfer agreement for the Rincon Gateway Property from the Land Trust of Santa Barbara County to the City; Deed of Conservation Easement for the Rincon Gateway Property by the City in Favor of the Land Trust; and, Amended and Restated Rincon Bluffs Preserve Endowment Agreement.
  • Receive and file the Revenue Enhancement Opportunities Report completed by HdL and consider providing direction to staff on preferred revenue strategies to address the City’s fiscal and infrastructure needs, including consideration of initiating community engagement and public education activities related to potential revenue measures.
