As of 9 a.m., 9-1-1 phone lines to local dispatch centers’ service are restored throughout Santa Barbara County, including Carpinteria.

Yesterday, July 22, between approximately 9:30 a.m. and 10 a.m., a fiber optic line was cut, causing a temporary disruption to countywide emergency services. Repair work began immediately to restore emergency communication capabilities as quickly as possible.
