Council honors California Avocado Festival’s 38th anniversary

Just weeks after this year’s highly successful California Avocado Festival, the Carpinteria City Council unanimously approved a proclamation in honor of the 38th anniversary of the annual celebration of Carpinteria’s favorite fruit.

Festival Producer Mike Lazaro and Festival Director Olivia Sorgman accepted the proclamation and thanked the Council for its support.

The festival annually brings tens of thousands of people to downtown Carpinteria for an event that raises funds for local nonprofits, underscores the importance of the avocado to Carpinteria Valley’s economy, and brings the community together for three days of peace, love and guacamole!
