The City of Carpinteria is creating a comprehensive Strategic Plan to guide our priorities and initiatives from July 1, 2025, through June 30, 2027. This plan will unite the community, City Council and staff around a shared vision for Carpinteria’s future.
Community Input
Community feedback has been instrumental in shaping the Strategic Plan. In December, the City hosted three public workshops for both English- and Spanish-speaking residents. For those who could not attend, an online survey – available in both English and Spanish – was offered to ensure a broad range of perspectives. The City’s goal is to develop a plan that truly reflects the community’s needs and aspirations.

Why is the City developing a Strategic Plan?
The Strategic Plan will serve as a roadmap for guiding the City’s efforts over the next two years, ensuring that our actions align with the needs and vision of our community.
How will my input be used?
Your input from the questionnaire and workshop will be made available to and considered by the City Council for inclusion in the Strategic Plan.
Can I attend more than one workshop?
Yes, you are welcome to attend more than one workshop, though they will cover the same material.
What if I can’t attend a workshop?
If you are unable to attend a workshop, you can still participate by filling out the online questionnaire. A recording of the virtual workshop will also be made available.
