Where the mountains meet the sea, the small town of Carpinteria offers calm waters and a premiere location for youth to learn beach safety and competition in the Carpinteria Junior Lifeguard Program.

REGISTRATION
Registration Opens March 7th at 6pm
Jr Guards A: (Ages 14-17) REGISTER HERE
Jr Guards B: (Ages 12-13) REGISTER HERE

Mini Guards: (Ages 7-9) REGISTER HERE
PLEASE NOTE: Upon registration, you will be placed on the waitlist. Starting in April, we will begin processing enrollments from the waitlist. Once selected, you will have seven days to complete the payment; otherwise, your spot will be forfeited, and the next child on the list will be offered the opportunity. We are implementing this registration process to ensure that all participants have either completed a swim test or are returning to the program.
TRYOUTS
Tryouts are required for new participants and Returning Participants moving from Mini’s to C’s
Swim Test Junior Lifeguards( ages 9 – 16):
Tread – 1 minute
Underwater push-off (no stroke) for 5 yards
100-yard freestyle swim in under 2:20
Swim Test Mini-Guards (ages 7 – 9):
Tread – 1 minute
Underwater push-off (no stroke) for 5 yards
50-yard freestyle swim in under 1:30
