Join us this summer at the Boathouse, located at 100 Ash Avenue, for our exciting Ocean Recreation lesson offerings. Whether you’re looking to learn how to surf, paddle out in a kayak, or build confidence in the ocean, we have something for everyone!

Beach Lifeguard Hours

• Beach lifeguard operations will begin on weekends starting Memorial Day Weekend, with the first day of service on May 23.
• Regular summer season operations (7 days a week) will run from June 11 through August 19. During this time, we will have a minimum of Linden and Holly staffed daily, and at peak staffing, Linden, Holly, and Ash will all be staffed.
• Weekend lifeguard operations will continue through Labor Day, with the final day of service on Monday, September 7th

Private Lesson $75/person

Semi-Private Lesson (2-3 people) $50/person

Beach Accessibility 

The City’s aquatics staff is continuing efforts to make local beaches more accessible and welcoming for all community members. Mobi Mats have now been placed at every City beach entrance, creating easier access across the sand for individuals using wheelchairs, walkers, strollers, and other mobility devices.

Beach wheelchairs will also be available for public use at the Linden, Holly, and Ash lifeguard towers during staffed weekend hours from Memorial Day through Labor Day. Expanded weekday lifeguard coverage will run from June 11 through August 19.

These accessibility enhancements were made possible through funding from the Beach Accessibility Grant Program, helping support the City’s ongoing commitment to improving coastal access for everyone.

Visitors are encouraged to help keep the mats clear and well maintained so they can continue serving beachgoers throughout the busy summer season.

Carpinteria Beach Nights

 

Join us this summer for Carp Beach Nights, a fun community event series at Carpinteria City Beach! From June 2 through August 11, participants of all ages can challenge themselves with ocean swims and beach runs while supporting local lifeguard services. Whether you’re a seasoned athlete or looking for a new beach adventure, Carp Beach Nights offers a welcoming environment to stay active, enjoy the coastline, and connect with the community. Participants will complete a clearly marked ocean swim and/or beach run, supported by ample lifeguard coverage. These fun-filled events will take place on Ash Avenue, also known as “4th” Beach.
