The City of Carpinteria has joined numerous other public agencies in California by getting off the electrical grid and using generators during peak hours in response to the Governor’s Proclamation of a State Emergency. We apologize for any nuisances caused by the use of generators, but keeping our agency functional without further stressing the power grid is imperative during this heatwave. We thank everyone for doing their part by continuing to reduce power use during peak hours: 4 to 9 p.m.
