Immigration Support Services in the City of Carpinteria Request for Proposals

The City of Carpinteria is seeking proposals from qualified nonprofit organizations to provide immigration support services to local residents impacted by recent federal immigration enforcement actions. A total of $10,000 in General Fund support is available, with a maximum award of $2,500 per organization depending on the number and quality of proposals received. This funding is intended to strengthen the City’s response to an emerging community need and enhance service delivery for impacted immigrant families that are residents of the City of Carpinteria. The City recognizes that this funding is part of a broader, community-wide response. This funding is intended to strengthen and complement the ongoing efforts of trusted local partners already serving the community.

Solicitud de Propuestas para Servicios de Apoyo a Inmigrantes en la Ciudad de Carpinteria

La Ciudad de Carpinteria solicita propuestas de organizaciones sin fines de lucro calificadas para brindar servicios de apoyo a residentes inmigrantes locales afectados por recientes acciones federales. Hay un total de $10,000 disponibles del Fondo General, con un máximo de $2,500 por organización, dependiendo de la cantidad y calidad de las propuestas recibidas. Estos fondos tienen como objetivo fortalecer la respuesta de la Ciudad ante una necesidad emergente en la comunidad y mejorar los servicios para las familias inmigrantes afectadas que residen en la Ciudad de Carpinteria. La Ciudad reconoce que estos fondos forman parte de una respuesta más amplia a nivel comunitario. Additional Immigration Support Resources

On Thursday, July 10, 2025, the Carpinteria City Council held a special meeting to address recent federal immigration enforcement activity and its effects on our local community. This meeting was convened in response to multiple documented U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) operations conducted in both public and private spaces across Carpinteria and the greater Southern California region.

As part of the feedback and direction received during the July 10 City Council meeting, this webpage was created to serve as a centralized resource hub for the Carpinteria community. Listed organizations hold 501(c)(3) status and provide a variety of support services, ranging from childcare to legal guidance to a variety of volunteer opportunities to support immigrant communities.

El jueves 10 de julio de 2025, el Concejo Municipal de Carpintería tuvo una reunión  para abordar las recientes actividades federales de control migratorio y sus efectos en nuestra comunidad local. Esta reunión se convocó en respuesta a múltiples operativos documentados del Servicio de Inmigración y Control de Aduanas (ICE) de EE. UU., realizados tanto en espacios públicos como privados en Carpintería y la región del sur de California.

Como parte de los comentarios y directivas recibidas durante el Concejo Municipal del 10 de julio, se creó esta página web para servir como un centro de recursos centralizado para la comunidad de Carpintería. Las organizaciones que figuran en la lista tienen estatus 501(c)(3) y ofrecen diversos servicios de apoyo, desde cuidado infantil hasta orientación legal y diversas oportunidades de voluntariado para apoyar a las comunidades inmigrantes.
