Hey Carp skaters, your wait is almost over! The City of Carpinteria and the Carpinteria Skate Foundation will hold a ribbon cutting ceremony on Saturday, Aug. 26 at 9:30 a.m. to mark the opening of the Carpinteria Skate Park next to Carpinteria City Hall at 5781 Carpinteria Ave. The park will open to the public for skating at noon that day. Parking at the skate park is limited; those who attend the opening are strongly encouraged to carpool, bike, skate or take the bus! Please call (805) 684-5405 with any questions.
