Berm Building Begins

This week, tractor crews are building the sand berm that goes up each winter storm season at City Beach. The massive sand wall protects private and public property between Ash and Linden avenues from the combination of high tides and storm surf. For the public’s safety, the beach will be closed in the vicinity of the tractors when work is underway. The berm is expected to be finished later this week.
