We are thrilled to introduce Claire Hobika as our new Recreation Leader in the Parks, Recreation and Community Services Department. Hobika is enthusiastic about contributing her energy and ideas to the City’s recreational programs.
Originally from Colorado, Hobika has worked as a groom for professional polo players and managed polo barns from California to Florida. Her passion for horses brought her to Carpinteria in 2016, where she has since made her home.
When she’s not working, she enjoys spending time with her dogs, Lira and Rumi, and running her own small business, Colorada Tack Boutique. Just a few weeks into her new position, Hobika is already contributing to the City of Carpinteria and making a positive impact on the community.
