Share Your Thoughts on the Parklet Program

On Wednesday, March 30, the City of Carpinteria’s Public Works Department will hold an open house from 8-11 a.m. at the Linden Avenue Seal Fountain to receive input on concepts for a permanent parklet program. The existing parklet program allows businesses limited expansion of commercial operations into public rights of way, such as sidewalks and parking spaces. It was launched during the pandemic as an opportunity for restaurants and cafes to conduct business outdoors while indoor capacity restrictions were in place. Community members and business representatives are invited to share their thoughts on the future of the parklet program with City staff during Wednesday’s open house.
