On Feb. 12, the Carpinteria City Council unanimously passed a resolution to thank Roy W. Harthorn for his 26 years of service to the City of Carpinteria. Throughout his career as a Contract Building Inspector, Roy reviewed almost every major development project constructed in the City, providing expertise in seismic safety, accessibility and historical preservation that helped keep our community safe. Roy has performed invaluable service to the City, and we thank him and send our best wishes for relaxation and enjoyment to Roy and his family.
