Santa Barbara MTD is proposing changes to local bus service and is seeking public input for changes that would go into effect on Aug. 19, 2024. The changes include Line 15x (SBCC/UCSB Express) service extended to 9 p.m. and Line 27 (Isla Vista Shuttle) increased frequency.
MTD will host a set of public outreach meetings this April, and is inviting the public to take a brief survey at http://sbmtd.gov/servicechanges/ to give feedback on proposed service changes to local bus service.
In addition to proposed changes, MTD will be launching temporary summer service for a new Downtown-Waterfront Shuttle circulator in Santa Barbara. Members of the public can learn more about this service at the outreach meetings.
A Carpinteria community meeting will be held on Tuesday, April 16 at 6 p.m.at Carpinteria Community Library, 5141 Carpinteria Ave. Spanish/English interpretation will be provided
