To recognize the important role of local service organizations, the City of Carpinteria has designated Sept. 11-17, 2023 as Celebrate Community Week. At its Sept. 11 meeting, the Carpinteria City Council unanimously approved a proclamation that was accepted by members of local service groups, including Carpinteria Lions Club and local Rotary Clubs. During Celebrate Community Week, the City displays banners in the Downtown “T” with the name, motto and/or logo of local service organizations.
