The California Avocado Festival, a massive three-day celebration of Carpinteria’s favorite fruit, is only possible thanks to the scores of community volunteers who come out each year. This year, the 37th Annual California Avocado Festival will take place in downtown Carpinteria, Friday through Sunday, Oct. 6-8. Volunteer opportunities include merchandise booth sales, pouring beer, ticketing for the Ferris wheel and operations support.
